Website Design

What is web design?

Creating websites that look great to your visitors, have a structured layout that makes it easy for visitors to find the information they are seeking.

•That are visually pleasing
•That are easy to navigate
•That have great content
•That look beautiful on all sizes of devices.

Of course all of the above must be presented in a way that search engines can also search easily.

On top of this your website must load fast, you have 4 seconds before your visitor leaves....P.S. Google loves fast loading sites too!

Mobile first

Through our extensive analaysis we have found that the majority of our visitors arrive on our websites using their phones, at least initially in their research phase

This means prioritising a mobile first experience long side, well laid out and relevant content

Of course this does not mean that we forget about desktop visitors, who are more likely to be be big ticket visitors.

Here is a list of websites that we like and why!

An alternative to Google for searching
Maybe we should all try something different

Design options

There are many different website design options for your to choose or for us to recommend.

We believe in keeping things simple, with a clean easy website design and a simple navigation flow.

• Navigation bars - fixed or hidden
• Footer bars - fixed or hidden
• Page body - full width or like a newspaper
• Page background - full size image fixed....
• Moving text to create interest
• Image movement on view (mobile) or mouse over (only desktop)

Some things we don't recommend:
Strange fonts
Poor colour contrast

Call to action and visitor intent

What is a call to action?

This is essential, there is no point in a website without getting the visitors to do something!

After all thats why they are here. So you need to answer this question
What do you want your visitors to do?

Answer a query about one of your products?
Book an appointment for an online or in person visit?
Email you?
Phone you?
Purchase something?

This can also be called intent, with the content you have created, when you get a visitor are they intenting to do what you wanted them to do?

Types of websites

There are many types of websites, here is a small list of examples:

• Brochure websites
Mainly showing your products, including details
• Business websites
 Detailed information about your business
• Ecommerce websites
 For selling your produce online.
• Non-profit websites
Information about what you do and what services you provide.

One of your first jobs is to understand what type you want and we can build the website from there.
